From the article: According to the company’s founder, Hugo Wikström, there are many advantages to land-based fish farming. For example, the spread of diseases is easier to prevent than in open water, and escaping fish is not an issue.
“In a closed system, you limit the spread of diseases both in and out. The idea is to form industrial clusters together with other companies, where waste can be turned into resources, such as excess heat and surplus oxygen,” he says.
